NEWS RELEASE 9/5/2018 CIVIL RIGHTS PANEL AT OCEANSIDE LIBRARY TO HONOR ‘ONE BOOK, ONE SAN DIEGO’ This year, “One Book, One San Diego” made an unprecedented choice with the award-winning March: Book One, a graphic memoir about the Civil Rights Movement by U.S. Rep. John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell. In keeping with this historic selection, an Oceanside Public Library panel discussion will highlight the significant themes of the book. The free, public event will be held in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms, 330 N. Coast Highway, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 10. Each year, Vista Community Clinic (VCC) provides affordable, high quality pediatric care to more
than 20,000 children of all ages. The Holiday Homes Tour benefits the VCC Kare for Kids Fund which provides low or no cost health and dental care to children in need in our community and is also dedicated to transforming VCC's pediatric facilities into warm and welcoming spaces for children and families. The goal is to create pediatric waiting areas and exam rooms with comfortable seating, whimsical art, books and puzzles to engage young patients as they receive care at each VCC site.
