MiraCosta College will celebrate the accomplishments of students graduating from the biomanufacturing bachelor’s degree program on Wednesday, May 22, at 5 p.m. in the Theatre, Building 2000, located at 1 Barnard Drive in Oceanside. MiraCosta College is one of only 15 California community colleges authorized to offer a bachelor’s degree program. For the fifth year in a row, the MiraCosta Music Program has been honored by the nation’s premier jazz magazine, DownBeat, in its 42nd Annual Student Music Awards.
The MiraCosta College Automotive Technology Program will hold its 9th Annual Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at MiraCosta College, Parking Lot 1A, 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside. The event is free for spectators.

The MiraCosta College Theatre Department presents All My Sons by Arthur Miller. The play opens April 26 at the MiraCosta College Theatre, located at 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside. Eric Bishop will direct.
The jazz program at MiraCosta College will host more than 40 performing groups from schools and professional groups around the United States and Canada as part of the 13th Annual Oceanside Jazz Festival, to be held at the college's Oceanside Campus, located at 1 Barnard Drive. Jazz choirs will perform during the day on April 11--13, and jazz bands will perform during the day on May 4. Daytime school performances, clinics and master classes are open to the public and free of charge. Each day will culminate in an evening performance featuring MiraCosta College jazz ensembles performing with prominent guest artists.

The new year is bringing a new look and feel to the MiraCosta Community College District's San Elijo campus. A major renovation and modernization of the Building 600—one of the main instructional buildings at San Elijo Campus—is opening for the spring 2019 semester. It is the first facility on the campus to be modernized under the district’s $455 million Measure MM bond, approved by voters in November 2016.

The design phase is now underway for four new buildings and a new parking lot at the MiraCosta Community College District's Oceanside campus. The projects, funded by Measure MM, the $455 million bond measure approved by district voters in November 2016, will be aligned with the vision set out by the district’s Facility Master Plan, which calls for the creation of academic hubs throughout the campus centered around different academic themes and each including instructional space, tutoring and study space, faculty space, and outdoor learning and gathering spaces.
