Beach parking lots are permitted to reopen in Oceanside and across the County tomorrow -- Tuesday, June 9. Current beach parking permit holders are offered a rebate on their next parking permit purchase. The Oceanside Pier will also reopen tomorrow. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has revised the COVID-19 County Variance Attestation Form. If a county did not meet the criteria outlined in the prior attestation form and would like to complete the COVID-19 County Variance Form (revised May 18, 2020) in order to move more quickly through Stage 2, a county may do so by submitting the required documentation as specified in the new form. As the state and county allow for businesses to re-open the City wanted to provide information to Oceanside businesses to ensure that their private water lines remain safe for their employees and customers. The Center for Disease Control established national guidelines for businesses to ensure that their private water systems and devices remain safe as they re-open.

MiraCosta College is honored to celebrate with our first-ever virtual commencement ceremony to be held on Friday, May 22, 2020, at 5 p.m. With obvious differences from a traditional ceremony, the college is committed to recognizing the achievements of our students and we will strive to make the virtual event a memorable one that enables graduates to remotely share this monumental achievement with family, friends, and the academic community. The oldest student petitioning for a degree or certificate will be 76 on commencement day and the youngest is 17. Among the many provisions in The Heroes Act, the bill includes bipartisan legislation introduced by Rep. Levin last week to address personal financial losses that some military families have suffered as a result of the stop movement order issued by the Department of Defense in response to the pandemic.
Qualified older adults can now sign up to get three free and healthy meals a day delivered to their home for a limited time through the “Great Plates Delivered” program. The initiative is a collaboration between the County of San Diego and local restaurants. The goal of the program is to help older adults who are at a higher risk of developing complications from COVID-19 avoid going out to get food. The meal delivery is scheduled to run through June 10.
The County of San Diego has launched the Great Plates Delivered program, a state-funded initiative aimed at connecting struggling local restaurants to high-risk seniors to encourage staying at home by arranging delivery of three nutritious meals a day. The dual purpose of the program is to provide meals to adults 65 and older and adults 60-64 who are at high-risk, while supporting local restaurants and other food provider/agricultural workers who have closed or are struggling to remain open due to COVID-19 mitigation measures.
